Clubs in existence in the area since 1905: St. Patrick’s (1905-09, 1912, 1914, 1918), Arvalee Emmets and Beltony Sarsfields (1920s), St. Mary’s (founded in 1932), Mountfield (1933-36, 1967-68, 1974-83), Cappagh —hurling and football (1946-53). St. Mary’s re-formed on parish basis (1965-84). Won SFC in 2003; finalists in 1999 and 2002; SHC and JFC in 1905/06, McAleer Cup in 1932 and 1935. SHC in 1947, 1950, 1953 and 1977, 1991, 1994, 1995. Thomas Davis Cup in 1951 and 1952, West Tyrone junior league and championship and McElduff Cup in 1968, JFC in 1977, MFC in 1981, Juv. FC in 1969, 1979, and 1980; IFC finalists in 1978. U21FC in 1996; JuvFC in 1999; Div 1 FL in 2001; Camogie played in 1930s; hurling club re-formed in 1975. Ladies Football team affiliated in 2003. Strong supporters of Scór with many county, provincial and national titles won since 1972. Club grounds vested in GAA; dressing-room complex completed in early 1980s including handball alley; major development of first pitch and new second pitch in 2002.
